Computer Aided Design (CAD)

What is CAD?

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is a tool that lets people create and test designs on a computer. For VEX Robotics teams, CAD is useful because it allows them to plan their robots digitally before building. This helps teams spot mistakes and try out different ideas without using real parts. By using CAD, students can make their robots more accurate and better prepared for competitions.

What software does WIS Robotics use?

There's lots of great CAD software available to use! As a member of WIS Robotics V5RC Team you will learn how to use OnShape to create CAD models. Your advisor will help you to create a free education account to access OnShape with your chromebook.
